# imWatching vs Spready

The clearest difference is rating: imWatching at 2.8 against Spready's 1.3. Spready's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 68%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

imWatching holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 1.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of imWatching's written reviews are positive against 100% of Spready's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

imWatching ships an update every 2 weeks, Spready fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
