# Mildor Violon vs Flashcards

The clearest difference is monetization model: Mildor Violon at freemium against Flashcards's subscription. Flashcards's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 9 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mildor Violon sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month and Flashcards sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mildor Violon ships an update every 9 months, Flashcards every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
