# Trapp vs Music Visualizer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Music Visualizer at every 11 days against Trapp's every 6 months. Music Visualizer also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 21%) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Trapp's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 162) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trapp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Music Visualizer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Music Visualizer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trapp has 3.9K ratings behind it against 162, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Trapp's written reviews are positive against 50% of Music Visualizer's.

Trapp ships an update every 6 months, Music Visualizer every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
