# Commune vs GURUCAN

The clearest difference is rating: Commune at 4.6 against GURUCAN's 3.2. Commune also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 42%) and ratings volume (376 vs 9). GURUCAN's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Commune sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and GURUCAN sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Commune holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Commune has 376 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Commune's written reviews are positive against 42% of GURUCAN's.

Commune ships an update every 2 months, GURUCAN every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
