# Commune vs Simplero

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Simplero at none against Commune's 10. Simplero also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 375). Commune's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 58%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Commune sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Simplero asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simplero holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 375 and 1.3K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Commune's written reviews are positive against 58% of Simplero's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
