# Quiltful vs Exceptional Alarm

The clearest difference is rating: Exceptional Alarm at 5.0 against Quiltful's 4.4. Exceptional Alarm also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). Quiltful's advantage is ratings volume (36 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quiltful sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Exceptional Alarm sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exceptional Alarm holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quiltful has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Quiltful ships an update monthly, Exceptional Alarm every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
