# Miro SmartHome vs SURFboard Central

The clearest difference is rating: SURFboard Central at 1.6 against Miro SmartHome's 1.0. SURFboard Central also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 2). Miro SmartHome's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 10%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SURFboard Central holds the better App Store score, 1.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SURFboard Central has 1.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Miro SmartHome's written reviews are positive against 10% of SURFboard Central's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
