# VPN · Fast & Secure vs VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN at free with in-app purchases against VPN · Fast & Secure's subscription. VPN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). VPN · Fast & Secure's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN · Fast & Secure sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for VPN · Fast & Secure against 4.6 for VPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 48K and 79K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of VPN · Fast & Secure's written reviews are positive against 37% of VPN's.

VPN · Fast & Secure ships an update every 5 weeks, VPN every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
