# VPN · Fast & Secure vs Hola VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hola VPN at free with in-app purchases against VPN · Fast & Secure's subscription. Hola VPN also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 47%) and device support (5 vs 2). VPN · Fast & Secure's advantage is ratings volume (48K vs 7.4K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN · Fast & Secure sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Hola VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for VPN · Fast & Secure against 4.8 for Hola VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN · Fast & Secure has 48K ratings behind it against 7.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of VPN · Fast & Secure's written reviews are positive against 73% of Hola VPN's.

VPN · Fast & Secure ships an update every 5 weeks, Hola VPN monthly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
