# Zef vs DUOTONE Wing Academy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DUOTONE Wing Academy at none against Zef's 3. DUOTONE Wing Academy also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (161 vs 41). Zef's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zef sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. DUOTONE Wing Academy asks for nothing beyond the download.

DUOTONE Wing Academy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 161 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Zef's written reviews are positive against 88% of DUOTONE Wing Academy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Zef ships an update fortnightly, DUOTONE Wing Academy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
