# Direct Kicks vs Pape Talk

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Direct Kicks at 120 against Pape Talk's 3. Direct Kicks also leads on device support. Pape Talk's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Direct Kicks against 5.0 for Pape Talk. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Direct Kicks has 120 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 95% of Direct Kicks's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pape Talk's.
