# GeauxU vs Y

The clearest difference is rating: Y at 4.9 against GeauxU's 3.4. Y also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (465 vs 5). GeauxU's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Y holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Y has 465 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of GeauxU's written reviews are positive against 63% of Y's.

GeauxU ships an update every 22 months, Y every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
