# Shappi vs Dr

The clearest difference is rating: Dr at 5.0 against Shappi's 3.8. Shappi's advantage is ratings volume (83 vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shappi has 83 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shappi ships an update every 9 days, Dr every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
