# Keywars vs Take Your Line

The clearest difference is ads: Keywars at none against Take Your Line's shown. Keywars also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 14.0). Take Your Line's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 17 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keywars sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Take Your Line sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Take Your Line holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Take Your Line has 15K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Keywars's written reviews are positive against 62% of Take Your Line's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Keywars ships an update every 17 months, Take Your Line every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
