# Keywars vs Novice Driver

The clearest difference is update cadence: Novice Driver at every 5 weeks against Keywars's every 17 months. Novice Driver also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (29K vs 42). Keywars's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 54%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keywars sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Novice Driver sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Novice Driver holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Novice Driver has 29K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Keywars's written reviews are positive against 54% of Novice Driver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Keywars ships an update every 17 months, Novice Driver every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
