# Direct Message vs MySamaj

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Direct Message at 63% against MySamaj's 0%. Direct Message also leads on ratings volume (5.3K vs 3). MySamaj's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Direct Message sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. MySamaj asks for nothing beyond the download.

MySamaj holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Direct Message has 5.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Direct Message's written reviews are positive against 0% of MySamaj's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Direct Message ships an update monthly, MySamaj every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
