# Easy Message vs Fext

The clearest difference is monetization model: Easy Message at free against Fext's subscription. Easy Message also leads on review sentiment (40% vs 24%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Fext's advantage is ratings volume (550 vs 79) and device support. On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Message sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fext sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Easy Message against 4.0 for Fext. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fext has 550 ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Easy Message's written reviews are positive against 24% of Fext's.
