# Sheefts vs Shift

The clearest difference is rating: Shift at 4.9 against Sheefts's 4.0. Shift also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Sheefts's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sheefts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Shift sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shift holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shift has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Sheefts's written reviews are positive against 77% of Shift's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sheefts ships an update every 2 weeks, Shift monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
