# Sheefts vs Payroll Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: Payroll Calendar at 5.0 against Sheefts's 4.0. Payroll Calendar also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). Sheefts's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sheefts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Payroll Calendar sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Payroll Calendar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Payroll Calendar has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sheefts ships an update every 2 weeks, Payroll Calendar weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
