# Tone Gen Pro vs Signal Scope Studio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Signal Scope Studio at every 9 days against Tone Gen Pro's every 3 months. Tone Gen Pro's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tone Gen Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Signal Scope Studio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tone Gen Pro ships an update every 3 months, Signal Scope Studio every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
