# Muro Box vs VoiSona

The clearest difference is rating: Muro Box at 5.0 against VoiSona's 4.2. Muro Box also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). VoiSona's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (138 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Muro Box sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and VoiSona sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Muro Box holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VoiSona has 138 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Muro Box's written reviews are positive against 77% of VoiSona's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Muro Box ships an update every 9 days, VoiSona every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
