# Twings vs YLP Player

The clearest difference is review sentiment: YLP Player at 100% against Twings's 50%. YLP Player also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (25 vs 1). Twings's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twings sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and YLP Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Twings holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YLP Player has 25 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Twings's written reviews are positive against 100% of YLP Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Twings ships an update every 3 weeks, YLP Player every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 4, 2026 respectively.
