# Pomodoro Timer vs focus

Pomodoro Timer and focus are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Pomodoro Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and focus sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomodoro Timer ships an update every 11 days, focus every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
