# Permit Book vs LandstarOne®

The clearest difference is rating: LandstarOne® at 4.7 against Permit Book's 3.8. LandstarOne® also leads on ratings volume (9.1K vs 4). Permit Book's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 59%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LandstarOne® holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LandstarOne® has 9.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Permit Book's written reviews are positive against 59% of LandstarOne®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
