# Permit Book vs IFTA Track

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Permit Book at 100% against IFTA Track's 55%. Permit Book also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). IFTA Track's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (201 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IFTA Track sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Permit Book asks for nothing beyond the download.

IFTA Track holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFTA Track has 201 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Permit Book's written reviews are positive against 55% of IFTA Track's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Permit Book ships an update monthly, IFTA Track every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
