# BABYLON TV vs OttPlayertv

The clearest difference is ads: OttPlayertv at none against BABYLON TV's shown. OttPlayertv also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (9.3K vs 15). BABYLON TV's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OttPlayertv holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OttPlayertv has 9.3K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of BABYLON TV's written reviews are positive against 48% of OttPlayertv's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BABYLON TV ships an update every 12 months, OttPlayertv fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
