# GolfPass vs Golf Moose

The clearest difference is rating: GolfPass at 4.8 against Golf Moose's 4.3. GolfPass also leads on ratings volume (5.5K vs 40) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Golf Moose's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GolfPass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Golf Moose asks for nothing beyond the download.

GolfPass holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GolfPass has 5.5K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of GolfPass's written reviews are positive against 65% of Golf Moose's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GolfPass ships an update monthly, Golf Moose every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
