# birdBreeder vs TempPro Sensor

The clearest difference is rating: TempPro Sensor at 4.7 against birdBreeder's 3.9. TempPro Sensor also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (11K vs 28). birdBreeder's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 46%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. birdBreeder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. TempPro Sensor asks for nothing beyond the download.

TempPro Sensor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TempPro Sensor has 11K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of birdBreeder's written reviews are positive against 46% of TempPro Sensor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

birdBreeder ships an update fortnightly, TempPro Sensor every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
