# Pentair Pool vs ZoJacks

Pentair Pool and ZoJacks both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ZoJacks's written reviews are positive against 30% of Pentair Pool's. ZoJacks also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Pentair Pool's advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 10). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pentair Pool holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pentair Pool has 24K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Pentair Pool's written reviews are positive against 100% of ZoJacks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pentair Pool ships an update monthly, ZoJacks fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
