# Pentair Pool vs Infinity Lighting

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Infinity Lighting at 100% against Pentair Pool's 30%. Infinity Lighting also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). Pentair Pool's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (24K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pentair Pool holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pentair Pool has 24K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Pentair Pool's written reviews are positive against 100% of Infinity Lighting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pentair Pool ships an update monthly, Infinity Lighting every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
