# ScharkSpark vs DJI Fly

The clearest difference is ratings volume: DJI Fly at 4.9K against ScharkSpark's 12. DJI Fly also leads on chart position (#94 vs unranked). ScharkSpark's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.8 for ScharkSpark against 3.7 for DJI Fly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Fly has 4.9K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 38% and 38% positive.

ScharkSpark ships an update every 2 weeks, DJI Fly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
