# ScharkSpark vs PotensicPro

ScharkSpark and PotensicPro both sit at 3.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 49% of PotensicPro's written reviews are positive against 25% of ScharkSpark's. PotensicPro also leads on ratings volume (117 vs 12). ScharkSpark's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ScharkSpark holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PotensicPro has 117 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of ScharkSpark's written reviews are positive against 49% of PotensicPro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScharkSpark ships an update every 2 weeks, PotensicPro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
