# polette vs StantonOptical

The clearest difference is review sentiment: polette at 74% against StantonOptical's 0%. polette also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). StantonOptical's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

StantonOptical holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 103 and 98 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of polette's written reviews are positive against 0% of StantonOptical's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

polette ships an update every 2 months, StantonOptical every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
