# AZDOME vs KAWA DVR

The clearest difference is rating: KAWA DVR at 3.6 against AZDOME's 2.2. KAWA DVR also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14). AZDOME's advantage is ratings volume (632 vs 7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KAWA DVR holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AZDOME has 632 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of AZDOME's written reviews are positive against 8% of KAWA DVR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AZDOME ships an update fortnightly, KAWA DVR every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
