# i vs Puff Count

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: i at none against Puff Count's 18. i also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.4). Puff Count's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Puff Count sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. i asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for i against 4.3 for Puff Count. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Puff Count has 2.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

i ships an update every 3 weeks, Puff Count weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
