# Amro vs VAR Media

The clearest difference is ads: VAR Media at none against Amro's shown. VAR Media also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Amro's advantage is ratings volume (62 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VAR Media holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amro has 62 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Amro ships an update every 5 weeks, VAR Media fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
