# BG Home vs Hypervolt

BG Home and Hypervolt both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Hypervolt's written reviews are positive against 43% of BG Home's. Hypervolt also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). BG Home's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BG Home against 5.0 for Hypervolt. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BG Home has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of BG Home's written reviews are positive against 75% of Hypervolt's.

BG Home ships an update every 2 months, Hypervolt every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
