# Backbone vs Lansing Hub

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lansing Hub at none against Backbone's 16. Backbone's advantage is ratings volume (102K vs 6) and chart position (#58 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backbone sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Lansing Hub asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lansing Hub holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backbone has 102K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Backbone ships an update every 3 weeks, Lansing Hub fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
