# Aithre Connect vs Specialized

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Specialized at none against Aithre Connect's 1. Specialized also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Aithre Connect's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aithre Connect sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Specialized asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aithre Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Specialized has 12K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Aithre Connect's written reviews are positive against 51% of Specialized's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aithre Connect ships an update every 2 months, Specialized fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
