# Route vs Tracking

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Route at none against Tracking's 3. Route also leads on ratings volume (520K vs 54). Tracking's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tracking sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Route asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Route against 4.7 for Tracking. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Route has 520K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Route's written reviews are positive against 50% of Tracking's.

Route ships an update every 3 weeks, Tracking monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
