# Freckled Poppy vs Case

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Freckled Poppy at 8.2K against Case's 1K. Freckled Poppy also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Case's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and review sentiment (60% vs 52%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Freckled Poppy against 4.9 for Case. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freckled Poppy has 8.2K ratings behind it against 1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of Freckled Poppy's written reviews are positive against 60% of Case's.

Freckled Poppy ships an update monthly, Case fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
