# 新周刊 vs 西西弗

The clearest difference is rating: 新周刊 at 5.0 against 西西弗's 4.1. 新周刊 also leads on iOS requirement (13 vs 15.0). 西西弗's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and review sentiment (96% vs 78%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 新周刊 sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. 西西弗 asks for nothing beyond the download.

新周刊 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of 新周刊's written reviews are positive against 96% of 西西弗's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

新周刊 ships an update fortnightly, 西西弗 monthly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
