# 天行SS vs VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 天行SS at none against VPN's 12. 天行SS also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (38 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. 天行SS asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for 天行SS against 4.4 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 38 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

天行SS ships an update every 17 months, VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
