# 天行SS vs VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 天行SS at none against VPN's 5. 天行SS also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 17 months). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. 天行SS asks for nothing beyond the download.

天行SS holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

天行SS ships an update every 17 months, VPN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
