# Jus Broadcasting vs Smart STB

The clearest difference is rating: Jus Broadcasting at 5.0 against Smart STB's 2.7. Jus Broadcasting also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). Smart STB's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and ratings volume (49 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jus Broadcasting sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Smart STB sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jus Broadcasting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart STB has 49 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jus Broadcasting ships an update every 2 weeks, Smart STB monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
