# BrainE vs MyScripps

The clearest difference is rating: MyScripps at 4.4 against BrainE's 3.7. MyScripps also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 3). BrainE's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyScripps holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyScripps has 3.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of BrainE's written reviews are positive against 62% of MyScripps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrainE ships an update every 6 weeks, MyScripps every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
