# Helium Hotspot vs C Spire Switch

The clearest difference is rating: C Spire Switch at 3.8 against Helium Hotspot's 3.1. Helium Hotspot's advantage is ratings volume (360 vs 4) and review sentiment (19% vs 11%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

C Spire Switch holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Helium Hotspot has 360 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Helium Hotspot's written reviews are positive against 11% of C Spire Switch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Helium Hotspot ships an update every 2 weeks, C Spire Switch monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
