# Evertag vs RecordScratch

The clearest difference is rating: Evertag at 4.7 against RecordScratch's 3.4. Evertag also leads on ratings volume (5.6K vs 5). RecordScratch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (71% vs 57%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Evertag sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. RecordScratch asks for nothing beyond the download.

Evertag holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evertag has 5.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Evertag's written reviews are positive against 71% of RecordScratch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Evertag ships an update every 5 weeks, RecordScratch fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
