# TOR Browser vs PixelMask

The clearest difference is rating: PixelMask at 5.0 against TOR Browser's 4.6. PixelMask also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 74%). TOR Browser's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TOR Browser sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and PixelMask sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PixelMask holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TOR Browser has 19K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of TOR Browser's written reviews are positive against 100% of PixelMask's.

TOR Browser ships an update every 3 weeks, PixelMask every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
