# Patterns vs DeadDropsApp

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Patterns at none against DeadDropsApp's 6. DeadDropsApp's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DeadDropsApp sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Patterns asks for nothing beyond the download.

Patterns ships an update every 6 weeks, DeadDropsApp every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
